"Fresh from an anti-gun speech in Maryland last Tuesday,
Bill Clinton brought his Tragedy Exploitation Tour to
Colorado the following day. Arnie Grossman, the head of
Colorado's gun control lobby SAFE, insisted that the Clinton's
timing had nothing to do with the Columbine anniversary eight
days hence. The White House press office, however, proclaims that
the Clinton visit is all about Columbine."

2 die in shootings at senior apartments
"One of the victims was identified as Marilyn Higgins, 64,
a city housing commissioner, who was making her weekly
delivery of baked goods to the building's 110 tenants,
said Thomas Baize, president of the Lincoln Park Housing
Commission. Miller also shot and killed apartment resident
Alvita King, and left Mary Parsley, another resident, in
critical condition. Police found Miller asleep about four
hours later in a 14th-floor apartment. Police used a key
to get in and found him surrounded by his guns and spent
casings."

Torricelli wants to cut sale of used police guns
"Sen. Robert G. Torricelli [D-NJ] is proposing legislation
that would make available $50 million to police departments
to keep used police weapons off the open market.
"Citing the use of such guns by criminals, the Englewood Democrat
said he would introduce a bill next week to provide $10 million
a year for five years to police departments in exchange for their
promises to keep their used weapons out of civilians' hands.
The program announced Tuesday allocates $2.6 million, including
$9,009 to the Paterson Housing Authority. Newark, whose mayor,
Sharpe James, joined Cuomo at the program's announcement, will
receive $715,000, the most of any city in the country.

The People to implement more infringements on the free market
access to firearms.
These guys don't have the courage to admit that they are too
inferior as leaders to address the CAUSES of crime in their
cities, so they abuse their power to enforce their unAmerican
and ineffective strategies. Wimps turned bullies. Disgraceful.

US Tries To Boost Gun Buyback Plan
"With Clinton's favored gun control bill stalled in Congress,
the administration is touting a Department of Housing and Urban
Development program to encourage city housing agencies to buy
and destroy unwanted firearms. The gun buybacks give cash or
gift certificates ranging from $25 to $150 for each firearm
handed over."
"A total of 84 cities have signed up, accounting for about
$3 million of the $15 million Clinton pledged. Many cities
-- including all in Colorado, Columbine's home state -- are
passing on the opportunity, however."

If one of these idiotic cities who have signed onto this
flagrantly abusive use of tax dollars happens to be your
town, round up 20 buddies and go outbid the government.
We'll report the whole thing on .COM when it's up and
rub their noses in it. Get us digital pictures. Then
let's orchestrate a campaign to get the guns to impoverished
people in cities where so-called "Saturday Night Specials"
are banned. We want those poor people to only use Quality
guns, right? (When .com is up, we are taking the gloves off.
Up until now, we've just been messing around. Our target

Ex-prison guard incarcerated in weapons sting
"A former prison guard has been sentenced to four to
seven years of incarceration for trying to smuggle firearms
into the Wyoming State Penitentiary.
"Alan Fleming, 25, struck a plea agreement Monday and pleaded
guilty to two felony counts that involve conspiring to smuggle
weapons and a bottle of alcohol that he sold to an inmate for $80.
Here come the Idiotic Quote of the Day Award:
"Can you tell me what was on your mind?" Judge Stebner said.
"The only thing I can honestly say is that I wasnt thinking,"
Fleming said.

KABA has been exploring being a provider of internet
dialup accounts nationwide as a way to generate revenues
without asking members to invest money. We figure many
people who are already paying for dialup services would
rather give us the money to advance the cause of freedom.
We also figure that people would like to have an email

Setting this up costs both time and money.
And we may be figuring wrong.

Tidbits of Truth
In 1995, according to the National Center for Health
Statistics, there were over 4,800 people "killed by guns"
in California.
In California: there is a 10-day wait to receive a gun
you buy; it is very difficult indeed to get a "license"
to carry a concealed weapon to defend your own life; they
have banned quite a few guns they call "assault weapons";
their state constitution has no provision protecting the
right to keep and bear arms; and nobody under the age of
18 can own a handgun.
According to the same government agency, in 1995, there
were exactly 62 people "killed by guns" in the state of
Vermont.
In Vermont: anyone can carry a concealed weapon without a
"license" or "permit"; there is no waiting period to
take possession of a firearm; and a 16 year old can own
a handgun.

Most fascinating is the "killed by guns" yaya. I can sit
here next to my gun all day long, every single day, and it
hasn't killed me yet. I know people who have hundreds of
guns in their personal collection, and not one of those
guns has managed to overtake them.

Law-abiding vs. Lawful
Sam Cohen is a sharp man. He reminds us why to use the
term "lawful" rather than "law-abiding":
"It's very important to say 'lawful' and not 'law-abiding.'
Not only because all existing gun control laws are both
wrong and unconstitutional, but because our ever more
tyrannical government can create even more horrid laws at
whim, easily making us all instant criminals.
"I wish all gun owners would understand this, and refrain from
using the language (and hence swallowing the idea) of 'obeying
(abiding by) the law.' "
