"Gun dealers are clearing their shelves and some gunmakers
have been effectively shut out of the Massachusetts market
as the nation's toughest handgun safety regulations take effect."
"The only new handguns that can be sold here under the new consumer
protection regulations announced earlier this month are some models
made by Springfield-based Smith & Wesson."

Dealers to Take Shot at Gun Regs
"Gun dealers, fearing they'll be forced out of business
by the state's strict new safety regulations, today plan
to announce a suit to block the toughest-in-the-nation rules."
"It's not over yet," said Michael Yacino, executive director
of the Gun Owners Action League, who has assembled a legal "dream
team" of gun-rights experts bent on overturning the safety rules.
"Reilly has left himself very exposed here. (He's) going to be
spending a lot of time defending his bad policy-making in court,"
said a source close to GOAL.

Philadelphia Mayor is a CRIMINAL
KABA reporter Wes Bradley pointed out that the state of
Pennsylvania enacted a law against suing gun manufacturers
some time back. "SB 167 (Pennsylvania) was signed into law
by Governor Tom Ridge on Dec 15, 1999."
This shows the disposition of the bill.

Here is exact text and the source if you like proving such
things to yourself:
(A) general rule.--no county, municipality or township
may in any manner regulate the lawful ownership, possession,
transfer or transportation of firearms, ammunition or ammunition
components when carried or transported for purposes not prohibited
by the laws of this commonwealth.
(a.1)no right of action.-- (1)no political subdivision may bring
or maintain an action at law or in equity against any firearms or
ammunition manufacturer, trade association or dealer for damages,
abatement, injunctive relief or any other relief or remedy resulting
from or relating to either the lawful design or manufacture of firearms
or ammunition or the lawful marketing or sale of firearms or ammunition
to the public.
(2)nothing in this subsection shall be construed to prohibit a political
subdivision from bringing or maintaining an action against a firearms
or ammunition manufacturer or dealer for breach of contract or warranty
as to firearms or ammunition purchased by the political subdivision.

This is a good read for an understanding of the quibbling
going on at Capitol Hill.

But anti-gunners urge more laws anyway. Facts don't
matter to people who are afraid of lawful citizens,
nor do Real Solutions. They get on an emotional
bandwagon, toss Reality out the window, and pretend
it's all "for the children."
The Hitler Role Models in Alabama are calling for
background checks on individual sales (the real
"loophole" they want to close), waiting periods (those
laws that make sure a citizen whose life is being
threatened cannot get a gun for days), licensing and
registration (which worked well for Mao Tse Tung and
Pol Pot before they summarily executed millions of
citizens and burned their bodies or left them to rot
in mass graves) and limits of one gun a month (which
would be convenient for keeping a man from arming his
entire family for the first time when he wakes the
hell up and realizes gun control doesn't have
Jack Squat to do with controlling crime).
But Alabama gun violence is far below that of other
states with severely restrictive gun laws on the books.
Here is where this gets Pathetic: the person pushing
from a leadership position for more unnecessary gun
laws in Alabama is Rebecca Peters, program director
of the Funders' Collaborative for Gun Violence Prevention.
She's an Australian who helped disarm our brothers and
sisters across the pond.
