Feds Issue Faulty Statement on Gun Coalition
Bottom Line: HUD falsely announced that the city of
Roanoke had joined the so-called "Communities for Safer
Guns Coalition." Wasn't true. The mayor had said he
supported the coalition but needed input from his
law enforcement leadership.
Sheriff George McMillan's 196 deputies, you see, carry
Berettas, and Police Chief Atlas "Joe" Gaskins' officers
carry Glocks.
The Federal government has lied, made a responsible
mayor (as far as his willingness to consider the ramifications
of his decision for the good men and women officers) look
bad, and all in the name of "safer communities?"
"Agenda" seems to be more important to the Federal
Government than the needs and desires of the people
who put their lives on the line every day.
And the extortion continues...

Man Sentenced for Killing Violent Burglar
Two assailants attacked him as he entered his home. They
shocked him with stun guns and beat him. He managed to
get his gun and shot one of them as they ran out the door.
He chased the other one down and killed him 500 feet from
his house.
No prison time. Yes felony. No guns for the rest of his
life unless his civil rights are restored.
The prosecutor calls him "paranoid."

In the days of the Old West, the man would have been
thanked by the community. Moral of the story? Get
'em before they get out the door unless you want to
give up your guns for life and very possibly go to
prison.

Police Training for "Next Columbine"
Called "RU Ready High", the training involves a mock school
setting with 16 classrooms.
"Greg Higdon, an officer with the Special Response Team
of the Springfield, Mo., Police Department, said, 'This
training is important, because it makes participants
realize those kids and teachers in there are defenseless,
and we're the only ones who can get in there to defend them.' "

It is good that law enforcement personnel are getting this
training, in my opinion.
That teachers and students are admittedly forced to be
defenseless--required by LAW all across America to be
defenseless--is inhumane, immoral, and unconstitutional.
How many of the victims at Columbine would be alive today
if a few of the teachers had been armed and properly trained?

AZ Forum for Responsible Gun Ownership
"The program doesn't take a stance on gun ownership or
regulations, said Daniel Benavidez, a spokesman for the
[Pima] County Attorney's Office."
Now that would be novel. Just present facts and let the
interested citizens attend. Were the anti-self-defense
media and government creeple to do that, we'd get this
thing straightened out in less than a year.

Gun Control Support Muffled (rebuked)

substantially reduce gun violence, or that creating new
gun laws is a better idea than simply enforcing existing

is that many people don't think such laws will deliver

Million Mom March Leader Facing Charges
"She was charged with third and fourth degree assault,
third-degree escape, disorderly conduct and resisting
arrest. Stacy was lodged in the Hardin County Detention
Center and released the same day on a $2,500 bond.
"As a condition of her bail, Stacy is required to stay
500 feet from her oldest daughter, according to court
records. She was uncertain when she is slated to appear
again in court."

41 Guns Stolen in Burglary (ooof!)
"SPRINGFIELD---The Greene County sheriff's office is
investigating a burglary in which 41 handguns and a
handful of long barrel guns were stolen. The crime
was Tuesday in eastern Greene County.
"The homeowner offers a $1,000 reward for the return of
the weapons or information leading to an arrest."

Let's hope the gun owner (God bless him!) turned
in all serial numbers so when they turn up in crimes
there will be yet more proof that guns used in crimes
are often stolen. (And that he didn't fudge the
report.)

PARTING SHOT #2
Bill Clinton and his driver were cruising along a
country road one night when all of a sudden they hit a
pig, killing it instantly. Bill told his driver to go up
to the farmhouse and explain to the owners what had
happened.
About one hour later Bill sees his driver staggering
back to the car with a bottle of wine in one hand, a cigar
in the other and his clothes all ripped and torn.
"What happened to you?" asked Bill.
"Well, the Farmer gave me the wine, his wife gave me the
Cigar and his 19 year old daughter made mad passionate love
to me."
"My God, what did you tell them ?" asks Clinton.
The driver replies, "I'm Bill Clinton's driver, and I just
killed the pig."
