RE: Smith & Wesson Settlement with Government - Attack on Individual Right to Keep and Bear Arms

Dear Sir:

    As you are aware, Smith & Wesson has submitted to government demands and agreed to terms which directly infringe upon our Individual Right to Keep and Bear Arms. I realize that the government has placed "a gun to your head" in an attempt to further circumvent the Constitution of the United States. The agreement accomplishes that which hasn't  been able to be obtained through Congress, and which should not be tolerated in a free America. It is blackmail and a perversion of the legal system. Private companies will become part of the government's machinery against liberty and a tool against freedom. This will not be the end, it will be only the beginning, as the "agreement" is but a gateway for further government evisceration of our liberties.  I trust and pray that you will not allow your company to become such a pawn.

    The purpose of the Second Amendment is to act as the final safeguard against tyranny. Thus,  as a last resort, the entire armed population can by force of arms take back their liberty and freedom (and yes, that includes 20 round magazines). In the last century over 170 million people have been murdered by their own governments (mass slaughter of helpless, unarmed civilian populations). We, in America, will not allow such plight to be visited upon our families and children. Your assistance and leadership in the gun industry in taking a stand for freedom is urgently needed.
